Dear mom,
This past week was pretty good! we had a great p day with some other elders in our zone and ive become great friends with them. I got a littlesick early in the week and didnt feel well at all but a lot of people we talked to said that there was a real bad cold going around town, but fear not i am better. Funny story. We have this investogator Michelle and we went to teach her this past wednesday and when we showed up there was a family friend of hers that is jewish and has known her whole family forever and at first we were really scared because its always really awkward to teach with another person from another religion there. especially jews because here they say a lot of bad things about our church. so anyway, we proceeded to teach and it turned out fine and he actually understood a lot of what we taugh and had a lot of good questions. and hes from Peru, so i can offiacially say i had a lesson with a Jew from Peru.

I got several letters this week from the young men in the kc ward and from the zengars too. i loved it even though they were all from christmas haha

This week is trasfers and my trainer Elder Schulte is leaving to another area and I will stay in Malhado with Elder Rudy. I have not met him yet but ive heard good things about him. This past sunday was great we had Stake conference and we had a new stake presidency called. The Bishop of my ward was called to be the 2nd counselor and the new president is the bishop of the area next to ours so two new bishoprichs will be called now and the craziest part of all this is that our bishop and the other bishop that were called have only been bishops for 6 months! thats so fast! Michelle came to the confderence and liked it and hopeflly we'll baptize her this week! and another investagator of the sisters in our district came and she said after that she recieved a really strong feeling to want her family to grow up in this church and for her and her husband to get sealing in the temple! miricles are taking place here in Brazil and Im so grateful to be a part of it! I thank you for all your thoughts and prayers and I cant belive that youre getting married in two weeks! That is so great and what a blessing that is in your life! I love you so much and i hope you have a great week! One thing that Ive learned this week is that Perfection is only perspective and we are all different in many ways for a reason. I love this gospel and im so glad to have had another week as a missionary here in Brazil.

love, Elder Rucker
