Letter # 49

Jackson Rucker Nov 10 (7 days ago) to me Dear Mom, this week was a good one. ive been loving these last couple weeks and im super happy that i got to serve here in poções because I GOT TRANSFERED! Thats right today was the day that we heard the transfers and now i will be serving in Livramento! a place that i havnt heard anything about. I had a friend that served there and he liked it be ill have to talk to him more about the ins and outs. My companion is from sao paulo and ive only met him once before. I really liked him and im sure we'll work well together. Im excited to get a change of scenery and a fresh start on this new area if learned a lot of things these past couple transfers that ive had here and i hope to only improve that in the next coming weeks. This week ive learned the importance having the Holy Ghost with you at all times. I've learned that it is easy for the spirit of God to be offended and when we constanly are offending the Spirit it becomes harder and harder for the spirit to be with you the same way as before. I know that true repentance is essencial for us to be able to have with us the the constant companionship of the comforter to bless us with help from on high in our daily life in this world where it is needed more know that at any other time in history. This spiritual fight we are in in this world is the most important thing we have to have our focus on. I love the talk that talks about of our 4 minutes from the may conference this year. that conference has really touched me has given me a even grater reason to do the best I can everyday because I dont know when my 4 min. will be up.  Thanks to you and Bill for the lectures on faith ill have to read those later. Im glad that things are going well for you all and i hope you guys are prepared because christmas is just around the corner and that means ill get to talk with you all! yeah! as fr as box materials I would really like to have your testimonies and conversion stories from as many people as you can get haha that would be cool. Also if you can get for me a framed picture of Christ looking over Jeruselem that i could put on my desk that would be the best.  Have a great week! I love you all!  Love, Elder Rucker
